LUKLA is the name of the worlds most dangerous airport at the foot of the Himalaya’s in Nepal; also known as Tenzing-Hillary airport following the first successful assault to the summit of the worlds highest mountain, Everest.

Lukla Airport is notorious for its insanely short runway and the huge challenges facing any aircraft due to the high altitude, strong cross winds and frequently bad visibility.
